Eads Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes – May 8, 2018

The Regular Meeting of the Town of Eads Board of Trustees was called to order by Mayor Shields, Tuesday May 8, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Hall. Robin Fox, Town Clerk, took roll call:

                        Mayor – Joe D. Shields- present

Trustees – Present – Justin McLoud, Kathy McCracken, Terry Riley, Dennis Pearson, Lisa Trigilio, and Priscilla Waggoner

Absent – 

Town Clerk- Robin Fox –Present

Assistant Clerk- Shealynn McCracken-Present

                        Director of Public Works- Van Brown- Present

Audiences/Public Comment Period –

Cindy McLoud was present as an audience member.

Minutes­- Terry Riley moved to approve the minutes as amended. Lisa Trigilio seconded, motion passed unanimously. 

Approval of Bills – The finance committee reviewed the bills prior to the meeting. Kathy McCracken moved to approve payment of the bills in the packet. Justin McLoud seconded, the motion passed unanimously. 

Old Business:

Airport- The Director of Public Works updated the board on the attorney’s statement with regards to the airport lease.

New Business:

FFA and 4-H Animal Permits- The Town Clerk presented the board with two animal permits. Terry Riley moved to approve the animal permits, Priscilla Waggoner seconded, motion passed unanimously. 

Fireworks- Kiowa County Fire Protection District was present to ask the board for a fireworks donation. Justin McLoud moved to give the district a $2600 donation plus the $1223 attained from DA plea bargains and extra donations from the previous year. Kathy McCracken seconded, motion passed unanimously. 

Bring Up Items:

Noise Complaints- Justin McLoud stated that he was approached by members of the community inquiring where noise complaints should be directed. It was stated they should call the Sheriff’s Office. 

Hours Town Hall is Open- Dennis Pearson inquired as to the hours of operation for town hall. It was stated that the town hall is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
