The United States Geologic Survey recorded an earthquake Sunday (March 13, 2016) near San Luis in Costilla County.

The quake, which occurred at 4:17 p.m., was initially measured at 3.1 on the Richter Scale. The epicenter was 13 miles east of San Luis, or 77 miles southwest of Pueblo, at a depth about 1.25 miles.

Reports of injuries and damages were not immediately available.
