Dick and I had a pleasant surprise Friday morning, when Marvin Hamilton stopped by to visit with us. Marvin and his wife Linda were teachers at Plainview School before they retired and moved to Gunnison, CO. Linda had shoulder surgery three weeks ago, so she isn't traveling yet. We really had a nice visit with Marvin.
Last week, Cora Coffman stopped in to visit with Don and Betty Kershner and see their new home in Cheyenne Wells. Cora, Susan Greenfield and Kelli Kern attended the wedding of Vincent Koeller and Victoria Halouska in Lamar on Saturday. On Sunday, Cora and her granddaughter Kelli went to Pueblo to do some shopping for Kelli's upcoming wedding. She's on the move again Harold!!
Tom Pape (former teacher at Plainview) and his wife Megan attended the wedding of Vincent and Victoria on Saturday.
Merle and Carol Shalberg attended the Wedding reception Saturday evening for Vincent and Victoria.
On Sunday, Susan Greenfield went to Sterling to visit her dad, Norm. On Monday, she went on to Greeley, CO to judge 4-H projects at their fair.
Larry and Judy Tuttle also attended the Wedding and reception for Vincent and Victoria on Saturday.
The class of 1986 held their 30th Class Reunion at the home of Dick and Sharon Scott on Saturday. Those attending were: Mark Scott and children, Ryley, Breeanna and Kyle; Lori Shalberg; Kim (Lening) Oxley and son Derek; Philip Splitter; and Treena (Sexson) Bone and her husband Randy. Kim (Randle) Rushton and Brian Beaman were not able to attend.
The group was able to visit with Brian and his family on face time with their phones. Isn't modern technology wonderful (sometimes?) Everyone had a great time visiting and reminiscing about the past.
We keep getting enough showers to keep the weeds growing. That way I don't ever run out of something to do. Have a great week!!
