Congratulations to the Holly boys basketball team on winning Championship at the State Tournament; the Cheyenne Wells boys basketball team on winning 2nd place; the Kit Carson girls basketball team on winning Championship and the Kit Carson boys basket  ball team on winning 3rd place.  All of you should be very proud of your accomplishments and representing our area so well.

Evan and Jen Hopkins and children went to Woodston, KS this past weekend to visit family and friends.

Last Saturday Sean and Misty Harkness hosted a 10th birthday party  for their son, Ky Harkness.  Those who came to help him celebrate, were  Jack and Mary; Linly and Sherell; Monte and Linda; Lane, Tammy and  children; Chris, Jennifer and children and Kirbi and children.  Happy  Birthday Ky!

Steve Desmond preached and did a concert last Sunday morning and  evening at the Sheridan Lake Bible Church.  Everyone really enjoyed  hearing him.  Larry Gitchel, former pastor will be conducting services  on March 19 and 26 at the Sheridan Lake Bible Church.

Connie Weber was down for the weekend to visit with her mom and  dad, Denis and Theresa Weber and her brother, Jerry.

Dick, Kyle and I went to Garden City, KS on Friday to shop and get  Kyle's new glasses.  Our son Tom joined us for lunch and then Tom and  Kyle left for Wichita, KS, where they were meeting Kyle's dad, Mark.   Kyle is spending Spring Break with his family in Winfield, KS.  Our  house is sure quiet this week!

The Ladies Retreat at the Sheridan Lake Bible Church will be held  on April 7 from 6-9p.m. and April 8 from 9a.m. to 3p.m. Laura Hicks will  be the speaker at the retreat.  Everyone is welcome.  Please RSVP to Amy  Schmidt at 719-691-5628.

Not much news this week.  Lots of people are off enjoying  themselves over Spring Break.   Have a good week!!
