Forest Service Hiring 900 Seasonal Workers

The United States Forest Services is hiring more than 900 temporary workers in the Rocky Mountain Region, which includes Colorado as well as Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming.

The seasonal jobs involve work in national forests as well as national grasslands in areas such as fire management, trails, forestry, engineering, wildlife, recreation, fisheries, archaeology and administrative support.

Applications for wildland fire jobs and some other early-season jobs will close between December 15-21, while other positions, such as those in recreation, fisheries, forestry and engineering, will close between January 26 and February 1.

Available positions can be searched online at www.fs.usda.gov/main/r2/jobs, while applications can be submitted through www.usajobs.gov
