Larry Frank White

December 28, 1938 – August 4, 2024

Larry was born December 28, 1938, to Harold William and Edna Francis White in Lewellen, Nebraska. He passed away August 4, 2024.

He grew up helping his father, family, and the community as the son of a farmer.  The family eventually settled on a homestead in Kit Carson.

After high school, Larry joined the US Air Force, where he fought in two wars, and eventually retired after more than 22 years.  After retirement, Larry started a successful home improvement business, which thrived for more than 30 years when he fully retired and enjoyed traveling the seas and seeing new world locations on cruises. Larry was also a devoted member of the church and two VFW posts, where he served a Chaplin and as Commander.

He is survived by his brother, Ronald (Shirley) White of Kit Carson; sons, Thomas White and Richard White; daughter, Ramona Stehle; eight grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services with full military honors by the Kit Carson VFW Post #3411 will be held August 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kit Carson Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kit Carson VFW Post #3411.
