Colorado Governor Jared Polis has appointed Andrew D. Herlihy to the El Paso County Court in the 4th Judicial District, effective August 1, 2026.

The appointment fills the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable D. Denise Peacock. Herlihy currently serves as a District Court Magistrate in the 4th Judicial District, a position he has held since 2025, handling juvenile delinquency and domestic relations matters.

Before his magistrate role, Herlihy served as an Assistant County Attorney in the El Paso County Attorney's Office from 2024 to 2025, and as a Deputy District Attorney in the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office from 2014 to 2024.

Herlihy earned his B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2009 and his J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2013.
