Governor Polis appoints Courtney L. Dinnel to the Mesa County Court
Colorado Governor Jared Polis has appointed Courtney L. Dinnel to the Mesa County Court in the 21st Judicial District, filling a new judgeship created by Senate Bill 25-024. The appointment is effective July 1, 2026.
Dinnel has served as an Adams County Court Judge in the 17th Judicial District since 2021, where her docket consists of criminal and civil matters.
Previously, Dinnel was the owner and managing attorney at Dinnel Law, LLC from 2020 to 2021, and an associate attorney at Foster Graham Milstein Calisher, LLP from 2019 to 2020. She also served at the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender in Brighton as Lead Deputy Public Defender from 2017 to 2019 and as Deputy Public Defender from 2010 to 2017.
Dinnel earned her B.S. from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2004 and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2010.
