Governor Polis appoints District Court Judge in 19th Judicial District
Colorado Governor Jared Polis announced the appointment of Meghan Patrice Saleebey as a District Court Judge in the 19th Judicial District to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Ryan Kamada.
Saleebey serves as a District Court Magistrate in the 19th Judicial District, a position she has held since 2018. Her docket consists primarily of juvenile delinquency and truancy matters. Previously, she was a Senior Deputy District Attorney assigned to the Juvenile Division of the Denver District Attorney’s Office from 2009 to 2018; Staff Attorney for the Colorado Crime Victims’ Legal Clinic in 2008; and Victim Rights Act Specialist in the Office for Victims Programs from 2004 to 2009.
Saleebey earned her B.F.A. from Southern Methodist University in 1991, and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2007.
Saleebey’s appointment is effective immediately.
