Governor Polis Appoints Michelle A. Chostner to the 10th Judicial District Court

Colorado Governor Jared Polis appointed Michelle A. Chostner to the 10th Judicial District Court.  The vacancy was created by the retirement of the Honorable Deborah Eyler and is effective April 29, 2023. 

Chostner is a Magistrate for the 10th Judicial District, a position she has held since 2021. Her docket consists of truancy, traffic infractions, small claims, and probate matters. 

Previously, she was a Senior Deputy District Attorney for the 10th Judicial District (2016-2021); Associate Attorney at Kendra Oyen, LLC (2015-2016); Deputy District Attorney for the 1st Judicial District (2014-2015); Deputy District Attorney for the 18th Judicial District (2013-2014); and Deputy District Attorney for the 17th Judicial District (2008-2013).

Chostner received her B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2004 and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2008.  

Colorado’s 10th Judicial District serves Pueblo County.
