Governor Polis appoints Rachel A. Catt to 2nd Judicial District Court

Colorado Governor JaredPolis appointed Rachel A. Catt to the 2nd Judicial District Court, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Martin F. Egelhoff. The appointment is effective August 1, 2026.

Catt has served as a Magistrate in the 17th Judicial District since 2022, presiding over civil matters. Her prior experience includes serving as Owner of the Law Office of Rachel Catt, LLC (2019-2022); Of Counsel at Harrington Brewster Mahoney Smits, PC (2019); Associate Attorney at Harrington, Brewster & Clein, PC (2015-2018); Senior Associate Attorney at Johnson Marquez Legal Group (2014-2015); Owner at Law Office of Rachel Catt (2006-2013); and Associate Attorney at Nachlis & Fink (2002-2006).

Catt earned her B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1996 and her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2001.
