Colorado Governor Jared Polis has appointed Timothy J. Lane to the Gilpin County Court in the 1st Judicial District. The vacancy was created by the resignation of the Honorable David Taylor and is effective immediately. 

Lane is a Staff Attorney, Legislative Liaison, and Policy Analyst at the Colorado District Attorneys’ Council, a position he has held since 2016. Previously, Lane was Deputy District Attorney in the 1st Judicial District (2001-2016).

He received his B.A. from Colorado College in 1997 and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2001. 

Colorado’s 1st Judicial District includes Gilpin and Jefferson counties.
