The hot weather continues across Kiowa County Monday, with no end in sight.

Highs today will be in the mid- to upper 90s under mostly sunny skies. Overnight temperatures creep up a few degrees from recent nights, falling to the mid- to upper 60s.

After 4:00 p.m., there is a slight potential for thunderstorms to form, though little rain is expected for most of Kiowa County.

Afternoon winds will be generally out of the south to southeast up to 10 miles per hour.

The coming days are expected to be at or above 100. Triple digits are predicted to continue through at least Saturday. Late afternoon showers and thunderstorms remain a possibility through Wednesday.

Currently, KiowaCountyPress.net Live Weather from downtown Eads shows NW wind at 3 mph. Sunday, winds were gusting to 27 mph around 9:00 p.m.. The current temperature is 68, with 0.00 inches of rain so far today. Yesterday, 0.00 inches of rain was recorded in Eads, with an unofficial high of 99. The strongest wind gust since midnight was 255 mph, while the high temperature for the day so far was 70 at 12:59 AM.

Elsewhere in Colorado, the hot weather also continues, with potential for mountain showers and thunderstorms. Moffat and portions of Rio Blanco counties are under a fire weather watch from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.
