The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced Friday that it will hold Tax Professional Awareness Week the week of October 19. The week will offer webinars, videos, guidance and tools to help tax professionals get ready for the 2027 filing season.

The goal is to help tax professionals prepare accurate tax returns, improve service to taxpayers and protect taxpayer information.

"As the IRS prepares for the upcoming filing season by building on the historic accomplishments from the current year, I am pleased to recognize the important role that tax professionals play in that success and the steps IRS takes to support them," said IRS Chief Executive Officer Frank J. Bisignano. "Tax professionals further the IRS mission by educating taxpayers on how to comply with the law while helping them take full advantage of all the tax benefits to which they are entitled."
