Just Days Left to Enter - $30,000 Prairie Pines Raffle

UPDATE: Just a few days remain to buy a ticket in the Prairie Pines Assisted Living Center Raffle for your chance to win up to $30,000. Contact any board member or Prairie Pines to purchase your tickets.

Prairie Pines Assisted Living has been faced with low residency counts for the last several months. Mike Lening, President of the Board, feels that the facility needs at least 80% occupancy to be able to meet all of their financial obligations. The facility, at capacity, can house 22 residents but is currently operating with only 14. Because of the reduced number of residents and higher expenses, the Board has been trying to think outside the box to come up with ways to help with this problem. They discussed having a raffle to help generate additional income to pay for operating and maintenance on the building. If this raffle is successful, it will greatly improve PPAL’s cash flow and could give the facility the funds to do improvements and repairs.

There will be 5,000 tickets available for sale beginning this week. The tickets are priced at $50.00 per ticket. The cash prizes will be based on 25% of total ticket sales. If all 5,000 tickets are sold, the Grand Prize will be $30,000; 1st Prize will be $10,000; 2nd Prize will be $5,000 and there will be numerous other cash prizes. The Board encourages everyone to come out and support this raffle as your odds of winning are much better than the lottery and the money goes to a great cause. Anyone interested in purchasing a ticket can contact the PPAL administration or any board member. The current board members are Mike Lening, Theresa Weber, Tom Davis, Rhonda Uhland and Michelle Wyckoff. There will be a booth at the Maine Street Bash where tickets can be purchased. Tickets will also be available during the Kiowa County Fair unless sold out. The drawing will be held at Prairie Pines Assisted Living on September 15, 2017 at 6:30 p.m.

If this raffle is well received and successful, the Board hopes the Raffle can become an annual event.
