Kiowa County 4-H Exhibit Day Recap
On the first Monday of August, Kiowa County 4-H members go through a rollercoaster of emotions - from nervousness to pure relief. This special day is the grand finale, where all their hard work pays off. Members involved in various projects within 4-H put the finishing touches and proudly display their creations at Exhibit Day. Judges then rate the projects and record books using the Danish system, awarding Blue, Red, or White ribbons accordingly. It's a way to honor the efforts of each member. To add more excitement, the best project in each age group gets a golden ticket to compete in the Colorado State Fair coming up next week.
The Fashion Revue was a display of elegance as it captivated the audience that evening. Two Junior 4-H members confidently presented their creations, showcasing their sewing skills to both the audience and judges. The highlight of the evening was the 2024 4-H Council Awards ceremony, where the Grand Champion and Reserve Champions were revealed. The event concluded with an exciting Food Auction that not only broke previous records but also strengthened the bond within the supportive 4-H community. Let's give a big round of applause to all the individuals who contributed to making this memorable event a success. The Kiowa County 4-H Youth Program and Kiowa County CSU Extension are humbled are humbled by the support of our community and friends.
