NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION IN RE THE ORGANIZATION OF SHERIDAN LAKE WATER DISTRICT, KIOWA COUNTY, COLORADO

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there was filed in the Kiowa County District Court on the 1^st day of April, 2016, a petition entitled “In Re the Organization of Sheridan Lake Water District, Kiowa County, Colorado” (the “Petition), prays for the organization of the Sheridan Lake Water District (the ”District”), pursuant to the provisions of § 32 – 1 – 301 et seq., C.R.S.

 The purpose of the proposed district is as follows:

a. provision of water services.

The District is located entirely within the County of Kiowa, Colorado. A legal description of the District boundary is attached hereto as Exhibit A. A legal description of the proposed District’s service area is attached hereto as Exhibit B.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that any time after the filing of the Petition for the organization of the proposed District in the District Court for the County of Kiowa, but not later than ten (10) days before the hearing on the Petition, in accordance with the provisions of § 32 – 1 – 305(3) C.R.S., the owner of any real property within the proposed District may file a petition with the District Court stating reasons why said property should not be included therein and requesting that said real property be excluded therefrom. Such petition shall be duly verified and shall describe the property for which the exclusion is requested. The Court shall hear said petition and any objections thereto and shall determine whether, in the best public interest, said property should be excluded or included in the proposed District.

 NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that by an Order of the Kiowa County District Court, a Public Hearing on said Petition will be held at the hour of 2:00 p.m. at the said District Court on the 5^th day of May, 2016 at which time and place any parties or persons in interest may appear if they so desire, within the limitations provided by law.
