Delinda Leona Davisson was born March 17, 1958, to Delmer and Delores (Walker) Eikenberg in Brush. She was welcomed by her brothers, Delcarl (Dutch) and Delmar (Sparky). At the time, the family lived north of Otis, but would move a few times as Delinda grew up.

Delinda started elementary school at Woodlin School, then attended Plainview School, and when the family moved to Haswell, she attended Haswell Elementary and Junior High School. She graduated from Eads High School in 1976.

After graduation, she started working for L & M Market for one of the owners, Leonard Price. She was taught the necessary skills of meat processing. She continued to work for Leonard after he built the meat processing plant in Haswell.

During a tour of the Haswell meat processing plant, Delinda was introduced to Marlin McCracken. Marlin opened Country Fresh Meats in Anton, and hired Delinda to operate the meat processing plant. She continued to work there for several years.

While living in Anton, Delinda met Allan Davisson. Allan and Delinda were married December 12, 1981. To this union, their daughter, Alicia Leona, was born.

In 1993, Delinda started working at the Akron School District. She continued to work there until her retirement in 2019. She was always proud to say that she had worked for the school for 26 years.

Delinda enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens during the summer. She excelled at cooking and baking goodies for family and friends.

Her health started failing shortly after retirement. She would eventually be admitted to the Yuma Life Care facility in Yuma, where she made many friends with the nursing staff. Upon the facility’s closing, she was admitted to the Hillcrest Care Center and The Towers in Wray.

While at the facilities, she enjoyed taking part in their arts and craft time. She led an activity called “Baking with Delinda” where she would assist other residents in baking cookies and other goodies.

Delinda Davisson is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Delcarl; and sister-in-law, Marlynn Eikenberg.

Delinda is survived by her husband, Allan; daughter, Alicia (Chris) Klinzmann; grandchildren, Riley and Wyatt; brothers, Delmar (Cindy) Eikenberg and Delton Eikenberg; and sisters, Delene (Roger) DeGroot and Delisa (Mike) Weeks; along with a host of additional family and friends.

Funeral services were held February 24, 2025, at Bowin Funeral Home in Akron.  Interment followed at the Akron Cemetery.
