“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under Heaven: a time to be born and a time to die...” - Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

The Lord brought Gary to this Earth October 10, 1942, and he passed peacefully surrounded by his family April 18, 2024.

Gary lived in Colorado Springs, where he built a life filled with love, family, and faith. He allowed his faith to guide him always to lend a helping hand and exemplified Jesus’ teachings for service to others.

An avid outdoorsman, Gary loved fishing, hunting, and petting his dog, Dolly. When he was not outdoors, you could always find Gary tinkering in his garage, rebuilding motors, fixing cars or boats, and working on new innovations he had dreamed up from his decades of experience as a master electrician and inventor.

But above all, Gary will be remembered for his captivating storytelling. With his warm smile and infectious enthusiasm, he would regale listeners with tales of his adventures and the teachings of Christ, weaving a tapestry of memories that will be cherished for generations.

Gary will be deeply missed by his wife and family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate hospital staff at St. Francis Hospital, who provided exemplary care and support to Gary and his family.

Services were held May 10, 2024, at All Veterans Funeral & Cremation with Chaplain Chelle Firebaugh officiating. Interment at the Evergreen Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of All Veterans Funeral & Cremation.
