- USDA Update-Rod Johnson: Warm and dry conditions have been prevalent. Wheat is greening up and generally looking good.
- The Governor’s Energy Office and several organization presented “Wind for Schools” program. The WFS program would provide grant dollars to schools to install 1.8kw Skystream wind turbines on their campuses.
- SECPA is still making special incentives available to its customers to take advantage of wind or solar energy.
25 Years Ago - March 5, 1999
- It was announced the Hi-Plains League, with Eads the host site, will be hosting the State 14-15-year-old Babe Ruth Tournament in July.
- About Town- Ida Lessenden: Kent Frazee, a graduate from Eads High School in the 1970s, was on the Wheel of Fortune television show. He and his partner won lots of dollars.
40 Years Ago - March 9, 1984
- For the sixth consecutive year, the Eads girls basketball team captured the district basketball title.
50 Years Ago - March 8, 1974
- An Eastern Slope Telephone Association representative said the Mountain Bell proposed rate hike would only effect ESTRA customers if long distance rates were involved.

- A new building is going up at Sheridan Lake, which is to be the new store of Theodore Boulware.
- Eads Cold Storage & Locker advertised T-Bone Steak 75¢ lb.; 2lb fresh ground beef 85¢; slab bacon 55¢ per lb.
100 Years Ago - February, 1924
- Brandon Notes: Two fat hog buyers in town last week. The buyers weren’t fat, but they did want stock fat hogs.
