- The Colorado Gators Reptile Park announced free admission to all visitors to celebrate Sir Chomps O’ Lot’s birthday. Sir Chomps O’ Lot was the first alligator ever hatched in Colorado.
25 Years Ago - September 29, 2000
- A tornado passed through the north side of Sheridan Lake, slightly damaging several homes and demolished a mobile home. No injuries were reported.

- Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Robertson traded their ranch, one mile east of Rush Creek school, to Mr. & Mrs. C.B. Bowen. They bought a new cattle ranch in Aragon, New Mexico.
