- The Eads Board of Trustees tabled indefinitely the measure for sales tax in the town of Eads.
- Wind erosion of about 20 tons per acre occurred in Kiowa County during the spring of 1976.
- The U.S. Postal Service will soon announce that the U.S. Post Office in Haswell will be discountinued.
