  • Kit Carson Clips- Marilyn White: We were minus some Bunko players due to the rain and muddy roads.
  • Wild Horse Roundup- Curtis Schrimp: I couldn’t believe it the ground was wet and still raining. Before it stopped, we had over two inches, twice as much as any rain this past summer.
  • About Town- Melissa Peterson-Doris Lessenden: We’ve had several gorgeous autumn days, where the sun shone bright and air was warm and the wind was picking on someone else for a change.

  • USDA Update- Rod Johnson: A great milo crop took a beating as high winds swept across eastern Colorado all day. Now the unpleasant ask of harvest off the ground begins.

October 30, 1981

  • Sometimes you must tear down first before construction. The old garage was taken down and the ground leveled were necessary in building the new Eads Senior Citizen Building Complex.

October 29, 1971

  • Eads High School is ranked 5th in Class A football according to Colorado Sidelines, official newspaper for Colorado interscholastic sports.
  • A recent survey by the Colorado Game, Fish, and Parks Division indicates very good fish population are present in the lakes on the Lower Arkansas River drainage.
