- The Eads FFA Chapter Annual Labor Auction was held with 55 members auctioned off at an average of $221 per member.
- Wild Horse Roundup- Curtis Schrimp: I found a balloon by our water tank. Most of the air had gone but you could still read Happy Valentine’s Day.

- USDA Update- Rod Johnson: Kiowa County and much of southeast Colorado received a wonderful blanket of snow with virtually NO WIND!

- The Eads Senor Citizen Housing complex is earning completion according to Keith Brown, Construction Superintendent of Triangle Construction Company.
- From The Sheriff Desk- Floyd Griswould: The County Sheriff’s of Eastern Colorado met with the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association to assist with the forming a cattle theft reporting system patterned after the Crime Stoppers Program now in operation in several states.

- Airport lights are being put on the runways at the Eads Airport. This has been made possible by donation of money and labor from several citizens and businesses.
- A beef packing plant costing $2.5 million with a weekly kill capacity of 4,000 and an annual payroll in excess of $1 million has been proposed for the industrial park in Lamar.
- February 23, The Kit Carson Lions celebrated their 20th anniversary with a dinner meeting at the Kit Carson Community Building, Sixty-eight attended the banquet with guest representing Cheyenne Wells and Towner. A few businessmen became interested in laying plans forming a Lions Club in February 1952.
