Petitions for the Town of Eads mayoral special election are available for pickup at Eads Town Hall beginning Monday, August 24, 2026, with a return deadline of 4:00 p.m. on September 14, 2026.

Mayor Joe Shields stepped down in June, prompting the Town Council to schedule a special election to fill the position. At the Eads Town Council Meeting on July 14, the council voted to hold the special election on December 8, 2026.

Petitions may be picked up at Eads Town Hall, 110 W. 13th St., Eads, Colorado 81036, during office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed most holidays.
