Sunny, mild weekend ahead for Cheyenne Wells and Cheyenne County
Cheyenne Wells and the rest of Cheyenne County can expect sunny, mild weather through the weekend after a partly sunny Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Goodland, Kan.
Friday is partly sunny, with a high near 60 and a south wind at 5 to 10 mph. Friday night is cloudy early in the evening, then clears gradually. The low is around 35.
A meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Goodland wrote in Friday’s written forecast discussion that the weekend is "shaping up to be a nice and mild weekend." The forecaster said winds across the office’s forecast area should stay around or below 10 mph this weekend, with no precipitation expected.

As of 4:15 a.m. Friday, no watches, warnings or advisories were in effect for Cheyenne County.
The Goodland office said in its hazardous weather outlook that no hazardous weather is expected Saturday through Thursday. Its forecasters also said fire weather should not be a big concern through next week.
