The Colorado Conservation Tillage Association has announced it will accept walk-in registrations at the 36th Annual High Plains No-Till Conference set for February 6-7 at the Burlington Community and Education Center.

This year’s conference will feature more than 40 educational presentations, with Nicole Masters, Jerry Hatfield, and Don Day Jr. serving as keynote speakers. Many breakout sessions will feature farmers and ranchers from the High Plains and their stories related to implementing soil health strategies.

“This is an excellent opportunity to glean information from what other producers are learning in the field,” said CCTA Coordinator, Joni Mitchek. “Whether it’s in the breakout sessions, at lunch, or in the hallways, there are always interesting conversations happening at the conference.”

Additional topics for the event include stacking enterprises, tax and estate planning, markets, interpreting soil test results, specialty crops, and supporting mental health in agriculture.

“One unique breakout scheduled for this year is a panel discussion geared toward young and beginning farmers,” said Mitchek. “We wanted to provide some resources and information about opportunities available to those interested in production or ag industry careers.”

The panel is one of the activities that CCTA has scheduled for its second annual FFA Day at the High Plains No-Till Conference February 7. More than 100 students from 10 FFA chapters are slated to participate.

The conference will also feature lunches and snacks provided by Camp Cook Concessions, more than 50 vendors in an ag-specific trade show, an outdoor equipment display, a networking event on Day 1, and certified crop adviser credits.

Walk-in registration pricing is $200 for both days, with cash, credit, and check payments accepted at the door.
