Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. January 3, 2025 at the Haswell Community Building in Haswell, with visitation prior to services. Interment will follow at the Haswell Cemetery.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Shafer; parents; one brother; and one sister.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Gale) Shafer of Amarillo, Texas; and Peggy (Gerald) Martin of Hanston, Kansas; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Beth Martin; brother, Michael Moore; and many extended family members and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the West Kiowa County Cemetery District or the Kiowa County Fire District.
