The Regular meeting of the Kiowa County Commissioners was called to order on July 27, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Donald Oswald. Lening opened the meeting with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Judy was born May 31, 1938, in Topeka, Kansas, and passed away at her home in Wild Horse August 8, 2023, at the age of 85 surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be August 14, 2023, at the Praise Community Church in Eads.
Funeral service will be held August 15, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Praise Community Church. Burial will be at Wild Horse Cemetery in Wild Horse.

Long time Eads resident Lil Penn passed away August 10, 2023, at the Bent County Nursing Care Center in Las Animas at the age of 97.
Funeral services are pending.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
