Pronghorn Hunting Suspended on Fort Carson and Pinon Canyon Due to Government Shutdown
Hunting for pronghorn antelope on Fort Carson and the Piñon Canyon Maneuver Site has been suspended because of the federal government shutdown, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) announced Tuesday.
All hunting in Game Management Units 591 (Fort Carson) and 142 (Piñon Canyon) is paused until further notice. The shutdown has affected the start of the pronghorn season, which was set to begin October 4.
