AN ORDINANCE ADDING A NEW ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 16-55 TO 16-57, TO CHAPTER 16, PROHIBITING PERPETUAL, PROLONGED AND EXTENDED YARD SALES IN BOTH RESIDENTIAL AND ALL OTHER ZONED AREAS OF THE CITY OF LAMAR, COLORADO

WHEREAS, Colorado Revised Statutes § 31-15-401 grants general police powers to the City Council to promulgate ordinances for the health, safety and welfare of the public; and

CITY OF LAMAR CALL FOR PETITIONS

MUNICIPAL ELECTION NOVEMBER 4, 2025

All eligible persons wishing to run for Lamar City Council or Mayor may pick up Petitions for Nominations at the City Clerk’s Office in the City Complex, 102 East Parmenter, Lamar, CO, starting August 6, 2025 through August 29, 2025.  The deadline for filing petitions with the City Clerk is 4:00 p.m. August 29, 2025.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Adjustment and Appeals Board of the City of Lamar has scheduled a Public Hearing, AA-2025-05, regarding a variance for the consideration of attaching a carport to garage/shop, less than 30 feet from the street; the E ½ of Lot 8 & the E ½ of Lot 9, Block 2, North Side Addition to the City of Lamar, County of Prowers, State of Colorado; also known as 309 North 8^th Street.
