Topsoil moisture supplies rated 33% very short, 40% short, 27% adequate, and 0% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 34% very short, 39% short, 27% adequate, and 0% surplus.
Field Crops Report: Corn condition rated 16% very poor, 22% poor, 32% fair, 24% good, and 6% excellent. Corn silking was 83%, behind 92% for both last year and the five-year average. Dough was 49%, behind 60% last year and 58% average. Dented was 6%, behind 11% last year and 17% average.
Soybean condition rated 8% very poor, 16% poor, 35% fair, 35% good, and 6% excellent. Soybeans blooming was 76%, near 79% last year and 80% average. Setting pods was 43%, behind 48% last year and 52% average.
