Andrew J. Hayden appointed as District Attorney for the 15th Judicial District
Colorado Governor Jared Polis has appointed Andrew J. Hayden as the District Attorney for the 15th Judicial District. This appointment was effective October 5, 2024, and fills a vacancy created by the resignation of District Attorney Joshua Vogel.
Hayden is the Assistant Deputy District Attorney in the 16th Judicial District, a position he has held since 2024. His practice consists of criminal prosecution.
Previously, he was the Chief Deputy District Attorney (2012-2024) and Deputy District Attorney (2009-2012) in the 16th Judicial District, which includes Bent, Crowley, and Otero.
Hayden earned his B.A. From the University of California-Riverside in 2005 and his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2008.
Colorado’s 15th Judicial District includes Cheyenne, Kiowa, Prowers, and Baca counties.
