Last week, Kiowa County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the vicinity of Kiowa County Roads 49 and C for a report of a person firing a gun.

Deputies contacted Steve Ransom of Brandon. Ransom had three motorcycles in the back of his vehicle which were identified as having been stolen. He was arrested for aggravated motor vehicle theft, and later bonded out.

A search warrant was executed later, and revealed 107 grams of methamphetamine in Ranson’s vehicle, along with additional stolen items at his home.
