Many Colorado farmers are extending their growing seasons, and farmers’ markets are moving indoors for the fall and winter.  The Colorado Department of Agriculture’s Winter Farmers’ Market List provides information about markets statewide. Additional online resources include the Colorado Food and Agriculture Gift Guide and Colorado Christmas Tree List, which help connect holiday shoppers with local producers.

“Whether you are looking for great gift ideas or local ingredients for your holiday menus, we have the resources to help you find Colorado products,” said Wendy White, marketing specialist for the Colorado Department of Agriculture. “Look for the Colorado Proud logo and buy local this holiday season.”

The Winter Farmers’ Market List includes markets offering special holiday events and winter hours. The Colorado Food and Agriculture Gift Guide lists companies that sell items ranging from gourmet baskets filled with sweets and snacks to appetizing meats and unique gifts. The Christmas Tree List identifies locations where individuals can find the perfect tree for their families including u-cut operations and information on cutting trees in national forests.
