The City of Lamar has launched a dedicated donation effort in partnership with the United Way of Southern Colorado to support families displaced by wildfires affecting communities across Southern Colorado and the state.

Contributions to the Southern Colorado Wildfire Relief Fund will go toward emergency housing, food assistance, and long-term recovery support for displaced families. The city states that 100 percent of donations go directly toward those services.

"Our hearts are with the families who have been displaced, the communities facing loss, and the first responders working on the frontlines," said City of Lamar Mayor Kirk Crespin. "Lamar understands the importance of neighbors helping neighbors, and this relief effort gives our community a trusted and direct way to make a difference."
