Colorado State Patrol seeks tips after Littleton hit-and-run seriously injures teen bicyclist
A 15-year-old bicyclist suffered serious injuries Sunday afternoon after a vehicle struck the juvenile near South Pierce Court and West Portland Avenue in Littleton and fled the scene, and the Colorado State Patrol is asking the public for information that could help identify the driver.
The crash was reported at about 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026, according to the Colorado State Patrol. Troopers said it was the second hit-and-run crash of the weekend to injure a teenager.
The driver stopped briefly to check on the juvenile before leaving the scene without sharing any identifying information, the Patrol said.
Witnesses described the vehicle as a late-model, large, dark-colored SUV. The driver was described as a Hispanic woman with dark, wavy hair, possibly in her 40s, and wearing a purple shirt. A Hispanic teenage passenger with dark hair was also in the vehicle.
The Colorado State Patrol is the lead investigating agency in the case. No suspect has been identified or charged.
