Craig P. Henderson appointed to the 21st Judicial District Court

Colorado Governor Jared Polis has appointed Craig P. Henderson to the 21st Judicial District Court. This appointment fills a vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Richard T. Gurley and was effective June 1, 2024.

Henderson is a Mesa County Court Judge in the 21st Judicial District, a position he has held since 2006. His docket consists of criminal and civil matters. Previously, he was a Deputy District Attorney in the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office (2002-2006); Associate Attorney at Treece, Alfrey, Musat & Bosworth (2000-2002); Deputy District Attorney in the 14th Judicial District Attorney’s Office (1997-2000); Deputy District Attorney in the 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office (1996-1997); and Associate Attorney at Law Office of S.A. Scimeca in Kansas (1994-1995).

He earned his B.S. from McPherson College in 1991 and his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in 1994.

Colorado’s 21st Judicial District includes Mesa County.
