Eads and the rest of Kiowa County can expect dry weather and mostly sunny skies through the weekend, with highs climbing from the upper 50s on Friday to the low 60s by Sunday, the National Weather Service in Pueblo said.

Friday is partly sunny, with a high near 57. Winds are light and variable early, then turn to the south at 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Friday night is mostly cloudy at first, then clears gradually. The low is around 33.

A meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Pueblo wrote in Friday’s written forecast discussion that "skies to slowly clear from west to east" behind a weak weather system overnight. The forecaster said dry weather and warmer-than-usual temperatures should last through the weekend and into the middle of next week.

No alerts in effect

As of 4:15 a.m. Friday, no watches, warnings or advisories were in effect for Kiowa County.

The weather service’s Pueblo office said in its hazardous weather outlook that dry weather is expected Saturday through Thursday.
