East End Events

Not much news this week. Everyone is staying inside and trying to stay warm. Our first snow wasn't very much, but enough to count as our first. The cold weather that followed was hard to adjust to after all the warm days we've had in November. We tried to make use of every minute on Sunday, putting up more Christmas decorations, while it was warm again.
Only two days of school this week for most students. Everyone is looking forward to the Thanksgiving break and all the pumpkin treats that go with the holiday. I know that I have been waiting for that first piece of pumpkin pie.
We had a surprise Saturday morning when Kyle went out to feed his cats. There were two baby kittens in the garage and no mama was claiming them. Kyle and Dick brought them in and gave them some milk, so now we have two little kittens living in the house. They think Kyle is their mama as he feeds them and plays with them. They are cute -- but if you would like some kittens, CALL!
The Plainview Community Club will be sponsoring their Christmas Sock Exchange on Nov. 28 from 6 to 7p.m. in the Plainview Cafeteria.
Exchange will be done by age group. Total value of gift to be $15 or less. Refreshments will be provided. Come on out and join them for a fun filled evening. The regular meeting for PCC will follow at 7p.m.
All are welcome to attend.
Judy Tuttle and I went to Eads and attended the craft fair at the Community Building. They had lots of neat things to buy and a large crowd was in attendance. We ate lunch there and it was delicious. I bought my first Christmas gifts that day. Keep Dec. 3 in mind to attend the Plainview Craft Fair at the school.
Here's wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving - safe travels - good food - enjoy family and friends - be thankful for all we have.
