Around 50 friends and family gathered at the Eagles Lodge last Saturday to help Mary Huddleston celebrate her 95th birthday.  A nephew and two nieces from Topeka and Hutchinson surprised Mary when they arrived to help her celebrate.  Mary would like to thank everyone who came and helped make it a very special day for her and for all the cards she received in the mail.

Cora Coffman and I spent most of last week in Lamar watching District basketball games and attending meetings.  Congratulations to the top 3 boys and girls teams that played at the Community Center and the top 3 boys and girls teams that played at the Wellness Center at the college. We saw some really good games. They will be traveling to LaJunta this coming Friday and Saturday to play in the Regionals for a chance to go on to the State Basketball Tournament.  We wish all the teams "Good Luck".

Larry and Judy Tuttle went to Lamar on Saturday to shop and attend the Birthday celebration for Mary Huddleston.

Susan Greenfield attended the basketball games at the Community Center Tuesday evening.  On Friday, she went to the Wellness Center to watch the Holly girls and boys teams compete in their District Tournament.  On Saturday, she and Jeanie Smith and Dawna and Leisha Peck went to Garden City shopping.  Saturday evening Susan and Cora Coffman went to Lamar to watch the District Championship games at the Community Center. I joined them for the games after the birthday party was over.

Denis and Theresa Weber attended the Birthday celebration for Mary Huddleston on Saturday.

Our communities would like to offer their condolences to the family of Cora Coffman on the loss of her brother last week.

Basketball season is over for Plainview.  They will be starting track in a couple of weeks.  When track season arrives, the end of school isn't far behind.  Where did the year go?  Have a good week!!
