Our communities extend their condolences to the family of Bernice Tuttle. Bernice passed away last Thursday in Sharon Springs, Kansas, where she resided at the Nursing Home there. Bernice had called Towner her home for many years with her husband Harold and their family. She was my neighbor for the past several years. She was very active in her church and she and my mom never missed anything that was going on out at Plainview School for as long as they could drive and get there. She will be missed by many.

Last week was Homecoming week for Plainview. There were many different activities every day, with the crowning of the King and Queen and honoring the volleyball team Thursday evening with the dance following the games. Kayla Wanderlingh was crowned Queen and Kyle Scott was crowned King. Congratulations to Kayla and Kyle and a big thank you to everyone who helped make it a special week for the students. Friday, the A and B Knowledge Bowl teams traveled to Vilas for a meet. Both teams placed third - Congratulations on a job well done.

Susan Greenfield traveled to Sterling this past weekend to spend some time with her Dad.

David and Dennill Splitter and family and Gene and Judy Splitter flew back to Baltimore to attend the wedding of one of Gene and Judy's grandchildren. They aren't back yet so I couldn't get any details. More next week, maybe.

The 4-12 group from the Sheridan Lake Bible Church went to Eads Sunday evening to take in the Judgment House.

Former pastor of the Sheridan Lake Bible Church, Larry Gitchel, underwent surgery on Friday to have 2 stents put in. He is home and feeling better. Here is his address if anyone would like to send him a get well card. Larry Gitchel Box 115 Gill, CO 80624

Short this week as I was outside working all day today. Trying to get ready for winter and to start putting up our many Christmas lights.

The older we get, the longer it takes! Have a good week.
