Did you remember to turn your clocks forward when you went to bed Saturday night?  I believe several people forgot as our church members were on the small side Sunday morning.

Southeast Colorado was well represented at the state basketball tournament this past week.  Congratulations to the Kit Carson Lady Wildcats on their Championship title; the Kim/Branson Ladies and the South Baca Boys teams on their second-place titles.

Evan and Jen Hopkins and children are spending a few days this week in Woodston, Kansas, visiting Grandpa Larry Poore and the cousins from back east.

Cheri Hopkins and I attended the auction in Tribune Saturday. Lots of good items to be had.

Burl Scherler is home and recovering after having knee replacement surgery last Monday in Pueblo.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery Burl.

Please keep Jerry Weber in your prayers as he struggles to recover from his lung transplant surgery.  Also, keep Lori Shalberg in your prayers as she starts her chemo treatments this week.

Jay Specht and Ruth Fees and the Knowledge Bowl team left Sunday for Fort Collins where they will be competing at the state meet on Monday and Tuesday.  We wish them all the best.

The County Republican assembly will be held on March 22 at 5:30 p.m.  at the Cobblestone Inn in Eads.

Thursday, March 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the Plainview School gymnaium, there will be a "Donkey Basketball" game.  Bring your family and enjoy the fun.  Preschool is free, and admission is $7 for advance tickets and $10 at the door.  Contact the school for your advance tickets.  If you are over 16 and want to be on a team, let the school know.

Dick and I went to Pueblo last Wednesday to have lunch and do some shopping.

Spring break is in session and lots of people are gone, so the news is short.  Have a good week!!
