Eaton Tire & Service Center Closes

The board of directors and leadership team of Agfinity, a member-ow,ed cooperative, have decided to close the Eaton Car Care Center, which became effective Wednesday.

The Agfinity retail complex in Eaton, which is located in Weld county, includes a Cenex-branded convenience store, McDonalds restaurant, and the former Car Care Center, and has been a part of the Eaton community for years. It has become a central hub for consumers and businesses to fuel their vehicles and purchase food. A dramatically-increased traffic volume over the past few years has caused a substantial congestion at the site, which contributed to the decision to close the car care center. The building will be removed in order to expand parking and improve traffic flow, particularly truck traffic.

Future plans call for expanding the convenience store and restaurant.

All full-time employees at the Eaton Car Care Center will be relocating to the Agfinity Greeley Car Care Center, which allows the cooperative to keep them employed and fill current vacancies at the Greeley location.

The board feels the changes will greatly benefit members of the cooperative, the Eaton community, and its customer base. Customers of the Eaton car care center will be encouraged to transfer their business to the Greeley location.

Agfinity is the largest locally-owned member cooperative in Colorado. It has operations along Colorado’s front range dealing in feed, commodity trading, fuels, convenience stores, hardware and other businesses.
