Governor Polis Appoints Christine A. Washburn to the 18th Judicial District Court

Colorado Governor Jared Polis has appointed Christine A. Washburn to the 18th Judicial District Court. This vacancy is created by the resignation of Honorable Cajardo R. Lindsey, and the appointment is effective September 4, 2024.

Washburn is a Magistrate in the 18th Judicial District, a position she has held since 2023. Her docket consists primarily of domestic matters. Previously, she was a Legal Research Attorney in the 18th Judicial District (2023); Founding Attorney at the Law Office of Christine A. Washburn, LLC (2022-2023); part-time Magistrate for the Denver County Court (2022-2023); and Chief Deputy District Attorney (2008-2022) and Deputy District Attorney (1999-2008) in the Denver District Attorney's Office.

Washburn earned her B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1995 and her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1998.

Colorado’s 18th Judicial District includes Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln counties.
