High 90s return - Kiowa County weather forecast for June 28, 2019

Temperatures in the high 90s return to Kiowa County Friday, with potential for the Arlington area to reach above 100.

Sunny skies are expected throughout the day, remaining clear tonight. Rain is not predicted through the weekend for most locations.

Light wind out of the north is expected in the morning before shifting to the east later in the day. Eastern Kiowa County can look for winds to generally remain out of the north, though wind in Towner shifts to the south.

Overnight, temperatures drop to the low 60s.

Conditions through the weekend will be similar, with temperatures expected to drop back to the upper 80s and low 90s next week.

Currently, KiowaCountyPress.net Live Weather from downtown Eads shows N wind at 5 mph. Thursday evening, winds were gusting to 28 mph. The current temperature is 34, with 0.01 inches of rain so far today. Yesterday, 0.00 inches of rain was recorded in Eads, with a high of 103, marking the first time this year the temperature has broken 100. The strongest wind gust since midnight was 255 mph, while the high temperature for the day so far was 45 at 11:36 AM.

Elsewhere in Colorado, west central Colorado will be under a red flag warning for high fire danger starting at through 8:00 p.m. High temperatures, gusty wind, low humidity and dry fuel will create conditions favorable for fire starts.
