The congregation of Kit Carson Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church hosted the Installation ceremony of Rev. Thomas Barton February 18, 2018.  The ceremony was followed by a pot luck meal in the Fellowship Room.

Pastors Bill Viergutz of Burlington and Pastor Kurt Hatterberg of Amherst assisted in the Service.  Deacon Steve Zandstra of Cheyenne Wells was the Scripture Reader.  The Sermon, “It’s About Time,” was delivered by Rev. Gary Rahe of Holyoke.  Rev. Thomas Barton who was called from El Paso, Texas, will be serving the dual parishes of Grace Lutheran in Cheyenne Wells and Trinity Lutheran in Kit Carson, Colorado.

Pastor Barton has worked in the corporate world for a number of years while based in Germany.  More recently he has served parishes in Texas and New Mexico.  We do welcome Pastor Barton to our communities.
