Kiowa County Commissioners Minutes - Special Meeting May 3

The Special Meeting of the Kiowa County Commissioners was called to order by Chairman Richard Scott, May 3, 2016 at 3:25 p.m. Those in attendance were:

 

Richard Scott, Chairman

Cindy McLoud, Commissioner

Donald Oswald, Commissioner

Delisa Weeks, County Clerk

Tina Adamson, County Administrator

Mike Crain, Maintenance Foreman

 

Personnel issues and legal counsel for the fire district were the two items to be addressed.

 

Chairman Scott moved and McLoud seconded the motion to dismiss an employee who had been placed on probation from an earlier incident.  All Commissioners voted Affirmative. A final pay check will be turned over once all county property has been turned over to the maintenance foreman. Scott moved and Oswald seconded to advertise for a full time maintenance man. All Commissioners voted Affirmative.

 

Legal counsel for the newly formed fire district was discussed. Oswald moved and McLoud seconded to hire Lyons Gaddis Law Firm from Longmont, Colorado to represent the county fire district.  All Commissioners voted Affirmative.

 

Oswald moved and McLoud seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 3:47 p.m. All Commissioners voted Affirmative.
