The Fifteenth Judicial District Nominating Commission has nominated two candidates for a Kiowa County court judgeship created by the retirement of Honorable Gray W. Davis, effective September 1, 2024. Nominees Pamela “Pam”Erramuzpe Johnston of Arlington and Brenda M. R. Fickenscher of Chivington were selected in a meeting Monday at the Kiowa County Combined Court in Eads.

Under the Colorado Constitution, the governor has 15 days from July 23, 2024, within which to appoint one of the nominees as county court judge for Kiowa County.
