Kiowa County weather outlook – week of May 10, 2020
Conditions across Kiowa County will be mixed through the week, with daily temperatures ranging from the 50s to the 80s and chances of rain in the mix.
Saturday, look for temperatures in the upper 60s, accompanied by a north wind with gusts to 40 miles per hour. Overnight, low 30s are predicted, with wind gradually decreasing after midnight. Areas north of Kiowa County will be under a freeze watch and frost advisory Saturday night into Sunday.
Conditions Sunday will be similar, though winds will shift to the south and drop to the 20-mph range. Upper 30s are expected overnight.
A chance of rain enters the forecast Monday afternoon, while high temperatures only reach the 50s. Less than one-tenth inch of rain is expected generally, though thunderstorms could produce higher amounts. The chance for rain increases slightly overnight as the temperature falls to the upper 30s.
Tuesday, a slight chance of showers continues through the day, along with east winds gusting to 20 mph, as temperatures rebound to the mid-60s. Overnight, mid-40s are expected.
Look for 80s Wednesday under mostly sunny skies, with overnight lows in the upper 40s.
Temperatures in the 70s are expected Thursday and Friday, with overnight lows remaining in the 40s.
